Vessels is a series of drawings of seagoing vessels. Included here are: the MV Liemba, a German steamship from the First World War that continues to ferry passengers and goods along Lake Tanganyika; the USS Nimitz, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and one of the largest in its class; the SS President Warfield, a steam ship that once carried mail and passengers along the East Coast of the United States and emerged in 1947 as the SS Exodus, carrying Holocaust refugees to British Palestine; the USS New York, built to transport troops into warzones by sea and built with a “symbolic amount” of steel from the World Trade Center towers.
